Finally feels like vacation!

Finally getting towed and hopefully fixed just in the nick of time!

Finally getting towed and hopefully fixed just in the nick of time!

Good morning friends! It is now Wednesday morning and things are finally starting to move in the right direction. We ended up having a great time at Lincoln State Park. It was so pretty and peaceful there. If the Tahoe was working, we probably would have just stayed there and just driven over to Lake Rudolph during the day. Oh well, I guess that plan just wasn't meant to be. We were able to find a place about 20 minutes away that could fix the Tahoe in 2 days, so we are hoping to get it back tonight somehow.

We got settled in over at Lake Rudolph around 4pm yesterday (Jude slept the entire time we packed, drove, stopped at the store, and got set up at the new spot! Best part about the RV!). The kids were itching to get over to the pool so we finally got the swimmy diaper on, suits on, shoes on, towels ready, sunscreen applied, bug spray applied and walked outside to catch the shuttle (this place is enormous), and immediately noticed the mass amount of black clouds starting to accumulate. We knew that we could not possibly tell these kids that the pool wasn't happening, so we went anyway. We got to swim in the pool for about 20 minutes and made it back to the RV JUST in time before the skies opened up. Once again our visions of grilling faded away and my new BFF, the electric skillet, saved the day.

Other than Jude falling out of his bed last night, the evening went well and it is beautiful outside today! The kids get to meet Rudolph this morning, followed by some time in the arcade (Luke is beside himself that they have that motorcyle game/ride and that he gets to ride it!), and then pool and the water park. We learned yesterday that Lukey is about 2 inches too short for the water park, so we are going to pad up his sneakers this morning and see what magic we can make happen.

Tomorrow we head to St. Charles, MO for two nights before getting to Kansas City and seeing Aunt Heather and meeting up with my in-laws. Let's just hope the Tahoe is actually fixed and back and that all of that craziness is behind us!

Happy Wednesday (and happy birthday to my mom!)

But boy, did we laugh our way down Dollar Mountain! I have loved 'adventuring' with you, Tennille--and then finishing off the sun-filled days with a nice glass of cold rose. Best summer ever!

Good grief, the Boyer's and their RV problems! Shawn, you certainly take after your Dad!! Glad I'm just his sister. Toneille, you have a way with words. I am thoroughly enjoying your blog.

You can’t possibly make this stuff up! I was cracking up while reading this….I’m sure not funny to you at the time! I was also picturing your mother while this was going on…nervous breakdown. 😘

Well…excitement is in the air? The dusty rattlesnake infested air??
